OK, that was timely and excellent. I'm one of those voters who's excited about Trump because I want him to appoint people who will chainsaw the government and the corporate-capture insitutions to pieces and move them all somewhere between Tucson and Tucumcari. Having said that, last time around Trump made the worst people choices on the planet. Now he's got Lutnick, who's a stone-cold genius I used to work for, helping him out so I'm hopeful, but their first choice is Stefanik for the U.N.? I like the idea of Senate confirmation being a necessary check and balance, but I'm conflicted because it's hard for me to think of a senator from either party other than Rand Paul who shouldn't be loaded on a rocket and shot into the center of the sun. Vladek's not wrong, but he's not right either. Oof, marone.
